A glowing queen and grouchy republicans

As the coronation of King Charles approaches, the list of invitees raises eyebrows as more and more celebrities turn out to be human. The latest in the Guardian is Aussie Nick Cave himself, who must be a republican. He is intimate with sex and death and he’s at home at the Roundhouse and not Albert Hall.

Turns out artists are also people, romantics even. He met the queen once, and he was only words away from describing the divinity of her anointment as being present in the room. The holy spirit holding and guiding her as she carried out her duties in the name of God.

Not only was he spiritually awed, he also finds republican arguments grouchy. I suspect that the arguments he is exposed to are, in fact, grouchy. Does that mean that Barbados was grouchy in its independence? I saw joy and celebration.
